This trilogy explores themes of dyslexia, which I was recently diagnosed with at age 44 and employs three different notational approaches: the first of the series is almost entirely strictly notated, while the second of the series includes a hybrid of improvisatory prompts and strict notation to allow for a more “off-the-cuff” feel. The third piece in the trilogy uses the raw tracks from recordings of the first two pieces, recombining and scrambling them, to generate something entirely new in real time using a Max patch that I authored for this purpose.
